Am I alone

naturememorytimesolitude

Am I alone

Here in this room

With nothing to surround me

But space

Is not the difference between

Inside and out

Nary but an extension

Of an illusion

I have created

To maintain my belief

In you

How many dimensions

Can there be

Between one thing and the other

When the closest

I have come to understanding

Floats in the remnants

Of an answer

I may have found

Once

In a lifetime

Before I let it

Slip as far away

As the distance

Between what was

And what may never

Be again

On the outside

As dreams collide

Bursting one by one

A cloud of fireflies

A starlit frenzy

That will surely die

In a blood red

Sunset

As we grow closer

To an understanding

Of the step

We need to take

To build a random thought

Into a memory
