Bursting the bubble,

lossgriefnaturepoliticsmemorylove

Bursting the bubble,

Feeling the pain,

Knowing that there will

Be hurt once again,

Dreaming of summer

Living with rain,

Praying for better,

Fearing the worst,

Belief is a feeling

And hope is a curse.

We fall through the floor,

Go down the drain,

Live in a vacuum

That crushes the brain,

Not that you have gone,

I am right by your side,

One of a kind

And still hard to find,

So near and so far,

Alone in the gloom,

A restless moon,

A neighbouring star.

I touch you,

A gentle spark,

That is more than an ember.

It helps me remember

And warmed by the fire,

I try to

Banish the fear,

The stain of tears,

The threat

Of heartbreak,

That claims souls.

I want to hear you whisper

‘I love you…’ pause…

And then say… ‘…more’

Not that you could,

But it is so good

To play that silly game,

When we both know

Our love is the same

As it ever was,

Ever will be,

Just wait and see.

If not here,

In eternity.
