An etched pen-and-ink illustration with a red accent, evoking "We are here".

We are here

naturetimelovemortality

We are here

Breathing the same air

Living together.

What a chance to share

The fruits of our love.

When nothing is mine

If it is not

Also for you.

How would it be

If I could not see

And you could not feel.

Would our lust for life

Become uncertain,

Simply slip away

Or will our love evolve

With the changing

Of the times,

Expand

Into new meanings,

Different paradigms.

Drifting through the air,

A thought is much more

Than a construct.

It can generate

The moon and stars

With little more than a wish.

If I can be you

And you can be me,

Then all that we see

Will help us understand

Significance.

As if we were simply all,

Become one.

And walked the same path,

Finding our own way,

Together,

From the first step,

To the ending of our days.
