Do you remember

naturecitymusicpoliticsmemorytime

Do you remember

When we danced

On an empty dance floor

In the small hours.

The music playing

Just for us,

Unchained melody

By the Righteous Brothers.

A solitary glitter ball

Adding a rainbow

Disguise

To the sparkle

In your eyes,

The record on repeat,

We kissed through

The silence,

Barely needing to move.

A sensuous,

Lovers waltz,

Blissful moments

That built us.

You swan dived,

From a yacht

Into a diamond sea.

We fed fish

With crumbled bread

And were surrounded,

Floating together

Hand in hand,

Face down,

Breathing slowly

Through snorkels,

Barely needing to move.

We made love

On a deserted beach,

Fine white sand,

A hot sun on my bare back.

We clung together

As the tide crept over our

Semi naked bodies

Until we were lifted

And floated away,

Entwined,

In each others arms,

Barely moving.

These are the memories

That made us

Remembered so easily

As we lie together

In the warm embrace

Of our bedroom.

Holding hands,

Sharing a moment

Of comfortable silence,

With nary

A need to move.
