Sing for me

naturecitymusicpoliticstimeidentity

Sing for me

Let the voices ring

Fill the air with joy

Drown out this restless flow

Striving to crash and tear

Through all the layers

Of my protection

A strident call

Beastlike wail

The howl of a wounded soul

Blistered with the heat

Of fevered forbearance

As wild winds break

Through solid air

The laden sky bursts

Its rigid hold broken

There is welcome

In this delayed delivery

I am doused

In fiercely released fury

Falling as jagged shards

Arrowed in bombardment

The latent sting

Made manifest

Sharp needles leave no mark

Paled skin numbed

With every minute shock

A staccato

Of mixed communication

A blush of body language

Drown my silence out

With the sound of

Sirens singing

Call again

I will be ready

Taking heed of warnings

Feeling the wind

Breathing its freedoms

Whilst dancing

To the rhythm

Peppering

A divine precipitation.
