Hold out your hand

naturecitymemorytimelove

Hold out your hand

Spread the fingers

Flat upon the window

I can see every line

The imprint it will leave

Memorised

If I hold out mine

On the other side

Lie it flat

I touch you

In overlay

Two imprints

One on either side

With barely a splinter

To pass between them

A silica of heat blasted sand

Furnaced into a glass castle

Rescue me.

There was a lipstick kiss

Once shared like that

I remember how it felt

To be so close

Without a touch

The divinity

Of such imperfection

Stays with me

As the air moves

A breath of you

Is released

Intoxication is a rarity

Without assistance

But for a moment unbroken

With the impossibility

Of infinity

You lie

Next to me

On a bed of

Blood red roses.
