He said tune-in, drop-out

naturemusicpoliticsmemoryidentity

He said tune-in, drop-out

Hallucinogens are good for your health

Increased clarity

Is good for the soul

Until the man

Locked him up

For crimes against humility

Drug-induced psychosis is

A diagnosis

And there was music before

They took him away

It just sounded different

For a while

Until the world stopped spinning

Backwards

And gravity reasserted itself

As a stable entity

He never understood the three-body problem

Even when he was standing in a field of corn

As high as an elephant's eye

Searching for oblivion

The song remained the same

It was only the memory

Of it

And the way it moved

That changed.
