I fell into the sky

naturememorytimeidentitymortality

I fell into the sky

It was easy

So much of it waiting

To engorge my soul

Endlessly welcoming

Equally foreboding

Demanding to be understood

So deeply vacant

As space opened up

Falling without moving

Vertigo is labyrinthine

In its meandering

Sinuously twisting

Turning away from and into

Tumbling is a mystery

As the sky parts

The clouds shift

Gravity should be fact-checked

Newton is not the only source

Of apples

I will never wake up in Kansas

No matter how far I fall

There will always be a moment

When the earth stands still

For a photo-opportunity

As home truths are seared

Onto the light-sensitive cells

Relaying a version

Of the world in real-time

Before the upside-down

Turns right way round

Opening up the possibility

We have all

Been here before

If only we knew

Where here was

And how to find it

Life would be a dream

Worth remembering
