I have missed Kora a lot today.

Soft is the morning

Sweeter than honeydew

A trickle of colour

Brightened as a steepling sun

Climbs above the treetops

To pour its light

Through the canopy

Dapple down the green

With shades of gold

A harvest of butterflies

Peeling through the

Dust motes

In and out

Of shadow

Dancing nymphs

Scuffing the earth

Scribing their names on an Oak tree

Secretly, beneath the bark

Forest fairies

Secret angels

Nurturing Sunflower cowboys

With wide hats

Reaching for the sky

A fleeting glimpse

Of a netherworld

So often recalled

With a kiss

Even a memory

Will sugar the chill

Of bitterness

As the wind swirls

Autumn is a plaintive

Call

Winter is the scream

Hold me through the

Worst of things

Until a welcome breeze

Begins to blow

The bluebells ring

An answer to

A sweetly hearted sorrow

Soft as a whisper

In the shelter

Of a morning

Surprise is an aphrodisiac

So let it be summer

Just for one day.
