It is a mirror
naturetimemortality
It is a mirror
This still water
Divert your eyes
Lest you see
The inversion
That other you
Nobody sees
Until you let them
The surface is motionless
No wind to ripple its demeanour
No current
To disturb its innocence
It is a shallow pool
A bottomless lake
Both are possible
Without verification
There is always
Uncertainty
Wait for it
To dissipate
In a welter of droplets
Surface tension
Released
Liquid particles
Separated
Discharging the notion
Of solidity
Even before the
Gravity of fall
Is known
When will it end
Perhaps there is no answer
No end to its depth
It is both
And
It is neither
I would ask the cat
If I could
It is locked in a box
Or so I am told
It might be
Only the space
Between
This and that
Exists.
