It is always a risk
lossgrieftimeidentity
It is always a risk
Reaching out
Into the blue
With no arms
To hold you
Falling freely
Has its drawbacks in crash landings
Safety nets are commonplace
In practice
For the real world experience
When there is nothing
Riding on the outcome
But a bruised ego
Never let go until you know
How to land
Without catastrophic mishap
Stay attached
To the safety line
When walking
On a high wire
The costs of falling
Freely all the way down
Far outweigh reliance
On a counterbalance
A strong hand
Of support
There is danger enough
Without discounting
A possibility
Of total surprise
There are times
When what we need
Is to take heed
Of a wise head
Listen awhile
Nobody, whether they be
Great or small
Is better off
On the downside
Of dead
