Mun Utd versus Tottenham…anything can happen.

Mun Utd versus Tottenham…anything can happen.

Hopefully, it will be a 24-hour thing and I’ll be fine tomorrow.

Am I possessed

The bones of me crack

Wracked with a pain

That may not be mine

The memory of guilt

Somebody else’s crime

The blasphemy

Of alchemy

The presence of ghosts

A genetic heritage

Collective unconscious.

The stars wink down

Ever-watchful,

A weight of expectation

Incomprehensible

Without commendation

An impossible judgement.

The bone-cold fingers of old crones

Tear at my eyelids

What am I to see

Beneath the veneer.

I fear that life

Is no more than haunting

Other times and places

Distant lands, different faces.

Do they all belong to me

Do I wear a coat

A carapace

A hardened shell

Of many colours.

Am I indistinct

Against a background

Stained with tears.

Are they all mine?

Perhaps I was torn.

Born in searing heat

Scattered to the winds

Suspended between worlds

A shadow

Of things to come.

Neither present nor past

Pulled from both sides

Where the divide

Is undecided

To remain unconnected, uncollected,

Broken asunder

Scattered on the wind
