Nobody kicks harder

identitymortalitysolitude

Nobody kicks harder

Than me

When I am down

Putting the boot in

Banging my own head

Against the wall

Self-injurious

Behaviour designed

To punish

The wishful thought

Nobody shouts louder

Than me

When I screw up

Tearing off a strip

Pulling out my nails

Waterboarding

Self-inflicted

Torture endured

In silence

Lest someone hear

The scream

Outside

In a harsh world

Where blame lies

And truth

Is unevenly distributed
