Open as a flower
naturepoliticstimelove
Open as a flower
Spread out
Petals wide enough to envelop
The sun
When the time comes
To steal a little bit
Of daylight
It will illuminate
Your nights
As you wait for morning
Radiate with love
It grows within you
The seed was sown
When we kissed
Spread out
Full to the brim
Fluid skin
Melded in a completion
Of perpetuity
Wrapped together
On soft grass
Stargazing
Counting suns
Backwards to the beginning
When the universe was new
The canopy
Softly fallen over
Warm hearts
A meditation
In loving touch
Seamlessly stitched
Into the fabric
Of pipe dreams
Spread out
Akimbo
Open to the world
With nothing hidden
Innocently portrayed
As sweet as morning
After the fall
Of honeydew
Melted on warm skin
Prickly heat
As hotly contested
As love
