Open the door

naturemortality

Open the door

Step inside

It will bring shelter

From the gaze of the sun

A righteous scrutiny

With little regard

For the impact it may have

Skin burns too easily

To remain exposed

Every turn you make

Is a key

To finding an answer.

Somewhere under

The glare

Lies a destination

There is a gap wide enough

For you to enter

Should you choose

The wisest course

It is not always obvious

Shadows can be deceiving

Reflections can

Misdirect

The casual observer.

Look through windows

Gauge the depth

Of an image

By its imperfections

It alters perspective

When breath is held

Enter with caution

I will be waiting

Behind the right door

It is the one

I came upon

When searching for you.
