Ageless Beauty
politicsidentitymortality
She looks just
As she ever did
Smiling in a shy
Self conscious way
Head tilted to one side
A different angle
For every pose
Afraid the shadow
Would suggest a
Double chin
Ageless beauty
Staring out into the room
A hopeful face
Bound to life
Alive in recollection
Of a moment
Thankful for ignorance
The future
An unknown place
Her head resting
Upon my shoulder
So woefully
Unaware of the impact
She would have
On the camera
Her impact upon me.
Then, now and for eternity.
