Simple fish
Packed in a tin
De-boned topped and tailed
What was different
Made all the same
For processing
Uniformity
Is created
Difference is avoided
For convenience
Every one
Is measured
Those found wanting
Are discarded
Maintenance of protocols
Ensuring an equal
Distribution of numbers
Packed tightly together
Close encounters
Of the final kind
Pickled in brine
Fresh meat
With a sell-by date
Destined to meet
Too late
To be anything
Other than
Fish finger food
Sardined together.
