The outlook changes
naturemusicpoliticsmemorytimelove
The outlook changes
With a smile.
And warmth returns
To the eyes.
With the lifting
Light is restored
Where once
Darkness ruled.
And in their
Twinkling
All aspects of life
Are in equilibrium.
Her skin,
Dappled with
A lively family
Of silken threaded freckles
Begins to glow
I hear them laughing,
Happy to taste
The air
They tumble and fly,
Free of constraint,
Chasing the sun.
As she begins to dance
They sing.
‘Dance with me.’
The words
Slip between
Sunbeam fingers,
I join with them,
As together
We meld
Into
Formless
Harmony,
And delight
In the tender,
Timeless,
Touch of love.
