There are many stories

naturepoliticstimeidentity

There are many stories

Not just his

Truth is a metaphor

A generalised belief

An acceptance

Of a given

A version of a tale

We tell ourselves

To soothe the sayers

Hectored tone

Some things said

Are plainly wrong

Others nuanced

In light of understanding

Changed

The weight of evidence

More evenly

Balanced

But rarely is a

Peer review

Askance

Probability

Is more than chance

Discard

The blowhard

But review the outlier

Which may not fit

But will not go

Give it further study

For all we know

Will be discovered

Many truths

Can be uncovered

In the prime

Of time

A new research paradigm

With something

New for all to learn

Or revealed

As just another

Cable yarn

Designed to frighten children

A holocaust denier

A coronaviral liar

An uninformed

Conspiracy

Of shock jocks

Against the norm

Keeping ecclesiastical

Revelations warm.
