There is a rose tree
naturemusictimeidentitymortality
There is a rose tree
In the garden
It stands,
An allegory
Of forbearance
In harsh times
Withstanding deprivation
Weathering all storms
Blooming in its time
To save summer
Lift a cup
Spill the wine
A single drop
Upon the white
Purity is like that
A random act
Of kindness
Brings redemption
Watch it grow
Regardless of who reads
The promise
There is a singlemind
Of purpose
In the design
It will endure
Collude
With any interlude
In husbandry
Purity is like that
It is not the action
But its meaning
Feed the soil
With the kindness
In your soul
Release control
The rose will grow.
