There are moments

naturemusictimemortality

There are moments

When spider web strands

Glint in sunlight

All they need is a cable car

To hang precariously

Dangling,

About to fall

Superheroes sliding

Down from a bamboo

Mont Blanc

To grapple with bad guys

Across the flat top

Passengers screaming

In the cabin below

A backyard film noir

Ennui in the afternoon

Catnaps are scary

When dreams become

Embedded in reality

As the division

Is blurred

Energy seeps away

It would be easy

To believe

In tall tales and fairy stories

Crows are murder

On the nerves

When they sing out of tune

At a band call

For an anthropomorphic

Disney chorus

The building site

On the far side of the road

To Mandalay

Is a James Bond set,

Too many

Workman look like Oddjob

On steroids

Doing the full monty

In the midday sun

Tiredness kills

More efficiently than a hitman

Take a break

Have a nap

Let the world slide

Below the garden fence

Life is a circus

Of broken images

Burt Lancaster

Tony Curtis

The Flying Orsini’s

Bring on the dancing horses

The time is right

For an old-style finale.
