There is a darkness.

There is a darkness.
A deep descending,
Drawing a veil
Across my weeping eyes.
Seeping through the
Windows in my heart.
Washing all
My rainbows away.
It is a silence
Like no other.
A deaf less vacuum,
An absence of noise
That floods my senses
And spills out from between
The limits
Of my endurance,
And I shiver,
Out of time
With the beating
Of a fractured heart,
As the grey
Seeks to engulf
Every last vestige
Of hope
Left in the day.
And soon,
There will be nothing
I can do
But disappear,
From this dim light,
And slip
Into the darkness,
That awaits me,
Forever.
