There is beauty

naturememorytimelovemortality

There is beauty

In a newborn babe

The smile of a maiden fair

The scent of morning

In the air

A wintry sun

In a pale blue sky

An eagle in flight

A swoop from on high

A kiss from a lover

The clasp of a hand

A look in the eye

A wedding band

There is beauty

In small things

That light up a life

A head on your shoulder

A hug from your wife

The shape of a rainbow

The light of the moon

The sound of a voice

You wish to hear soon

There is beauty

In memory

In yearning

A joy

For things you remember

When you were a boy

There is beauty

In all things

In all we conceive

Of the past

And the future

All that we leave

Beauty in kindness

In giving

In all we receive

Beauty surrounds us

If we can believe

We are a book

With everything writ

Should we but look

Or have the wit

There is beauty

In every line

Whenever we read

Each page

As intended,

One verse at a time

Until all is ended.
