There is no easy way

naturecitypoliticsmemorytimeidentity

There is no easy way

To say goodbye

If it is not a choice

There is nothing good

Or noble

In denying how it feels

To stay behind

When you would

Rather go

No brick road

To follow

Yellow or not

No six step

Program to redemption

For the survivor

Of a fall

Whether of grace

Or simply favour

Recovery is not a measure

Of success

It is the least you can expect

Of an outcome

When you are all out

Of excuses

When all is done

And the truth

Of life is still an empty bottle

The cork will never fit

Back in

All the waiting in the world

Will never fill the void

Life has become

When time

Is absorbed into the

Miasma

Comprehension is as

Stale as yesterday’s promise

Of today

Until the dawning

There is no new way

Fanfare, lightning bolt

Or chariot

In the sky

No mystic warrior

To wrest the world

Of difference

From your grasp

No answers

To satisfy

Or quench the endless thirst

You still may question

What you behold

Barely cope

With less than hope

You may still cry

But now at last

You understand

There is only one

Everlasting

Final

Meaning to goodbye.
