There is no time wasted

lossnaturemusicpoliticstimelove

There is no time wasted

Unless it is wanted

So to be

Break bread, eat

Converse with me

Over a glass of wine

Discover the wonder

Of intimacy

As the stars traverse the sky

Question their momentum

As will I

Ponder the illusion

Of stillness

As the birds soar

Cicadas sing

Their own love songs

Sixteen years in the making

How many stars have died

Lost children cried

In the moment

Of your awakening

When will understanding

Be born

Without need of protection

From the ignorance

Of the wilderness

Ask not of me

I am lost

Many times over

But there is time for you

To fill a cup

With wisdom,

Forbearance

May defeat many

Long has been the wait

For love to thrive

When patience

Is rarely rewarded

Without virtue

As its saviour

Nonetheless, even in doubt

There is hope

Listen to the Cicadas

They were born

To believe.
