There is so much beauty
citymusicpoliticstimelovemortality
There is so much beauty
In the jumble,
The tumble of life.
When, still warm clothes,
So casually cast off,
Pose dramatically
Across a chair,
The sleeve of a dress
Beckoning seductively
To a shirt
That falls into
A close embrace,
So lightly clasped.
The dressing table,
A riot of sprays and potions,
A de-humidifier,
Unctions and lotions.
The familiar and ordinary,
Blunting the
Cutting edge
Of a cold,
Slate grey day.
The dusty,
Blue washed wood
Of the bedroom furniture
Compliments the
Simple harmony of my thoughts.
Everything
Gels into a perfect whole,
Blending
With her sensual
Gentle snore.
That may be
Barely discernible
But is,
In its own sweet way
A more than welcome addition
A soothing accompaniment
To a quiet,
Beatific
Reflective day
