What would it take?

nature

What would it take?

When nothing is forever

Even mountains fall

The earth opens up

Beneath our feet

The sky is split asunder

Foundations shaken

With every risky venture

Even now

The seven seas are

Rarely still,

Alive with wonder

Untamed, wild with

Unpredictability

A majesty threatened

In eruption

Environmental

Corruption

Tipping points

So easily misconstrued

In pursuit of pleasure

The real treasure

Often overlooked

In the hurly burly

Helter skelter

Of a fatuous race

Can we keep pace

With the asinine,

Measure progress

Against the faintly ridiculous

Facebook famous

Instagram success

How high can we fly

How low can we go

Before we know

What it would take

To say no.
