Sometimes

naturemusictimelovemortality

Sometimes

There is room

To fit all the pieces

Loosely together

My changeability

Is as uncertain

As the weather

I have placed you

Forever

In my heart

You are my lifeblood

Through you

I remain whole

Even as I splinter.

Thank goodness

For string theory

And forget me knots

They bring me back

Together

Hold me steady

In the strongest

Of winds

I sway

Sharp edges ground away

Jagged corners

Smoothed by the passage

Of time

In slow progress,

Healing touch

And remembrance

Of heart songs
