Take my word

lossnaturecitytimeloveidentity

Take my word

It is all I have to give

Nothing matters

But belief

Love will survive

The ending of days

Is a metaphor

Retribution is not mercy

Redemption is not for everyone

Take my hand

It is strong enough

To hold you

Even as the wild winds blow

Change is inevitable

It strips us bare

Of the old ways

Unless we stand together

Even the best of us

Will be scattered

Far and wide

Falling is too easy

On your own

Raindrops follow the same path

Regardless of obstruction

They fall down

Evaporate or

Drain into the sea

From whence they came

Dead flesh breeds life

Fallen trees burn

Heat breaths fire

And creates light

Energy is not lost

But changed

It is inevitable

Let it be so

Take my word

It is truth enough

To guide you

Love will survive

The worst that can be done

Is to delay

What is inevitable.
